Day 2 – BWY Foundation Course

Seven hours of yoga may have you thinking “IS SHE MAD????”

To be honest, I thought that too as I got up at 07h00 on Sunday morning…  but… it was THE best seven Sunday hours I have spent in a very long time! Continue reading “Day 2 – BWY Foundation Course”

Journal update

Just updating my course diary, thought I would share what I am doing with my #writeitdownwednesday post it notes…  🙂  I keep each one on my computer screen for a week and when I have a few I will ‘file’ them sort of like this, in my journal and share them with you. Thursday Yoga Class

Yoga with Dave last night…

YogaButt is healing but slowly.  Forward bends with knees bent and just listening to my body in deep stretches at the moment.

Otherwise a lovely class…  New experience in glute strengtheners…  phwoar talk about REALLY working those glutes! I feel positively ‘peachy’ today!  😉 Continue reading “Thursday Yoga Class”

My First 20 minutes…

Life is busy…  As much as I try to MAKE time for self practice I am finding it really difficult.

I have ended up trying to fit it in!

Selling the house is stressful, I just wish someone would walk in, fall in love with it and hand over the cash!

Last night we had TWO viewings, so,  I cleared the lounge, vacuum cleaned etc, hubby and kid were not home yet,  I had SPACE for a change and so, IN MY SLIPPERS…. Continue reading “My First 20 minutes…”

just a journal update :)

Yoga class with Dave last night.

RSB (right sitting bone) is still sore, but not in agony like last week… it doesn’t feel like it’s a bleeding wound anymore (ok, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration) 🙂

Gotta love Dave, he subtly, within the class instruction, let me know all the poses I needed to be little more aware in… and I left the class brimming with energy, enthusiasm and positivity that THIS weekend, I will practice… ON MY OWN! Continue reading “just a journal update :)”

Yoga 2018 begins…

Thanks for joining me!

2018 will see me take on the challenge of the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course 1.

Part of the course is to keep a journal of the ‘journey’ and so, used to blogging, this is the most natural way for me to do so.

Yoga for me is ‘time out’.

Me time…

A gift I give to myself.

I hope to learn how to practice on my own and feel comfortable doing so.

I hope to be able to embrace quiet times and to not shy away from them.

I am looking forward to feeling my body change as my practice becomes something I don’t try to fit in, but something I make time for.
