What is Yin Yoga? Esther says it best… click here to read about it.
So last night I went locally, to a Yin class. As is the norm, I didn’t really research anything, I just knew that it was a slow-paced practice and as my kid wanted to join me, I thought it may be a good intro for him.
It was. It was slow-paced, lots of breathing with flows in a lovely space with candles and soft music.
I am not sure, even today, how I felt about the class.
In one way it was bit gentle for me. The jury is still out on this one…
I realise now how spoilt I am to have Dave… and this just went on to prove to me that now, the 20 mile drive to Dave’s class once a week is so not the mega commute it seemed. I will do it gladly, knowing that what I get out of it is a well structured, thought out class with an amazing teacher.
I may go back to the Yin session for the pure relaxation of it. The time to get out of the chaos that is work/home life at the moment and the time spent just being quiet.
Yoga is so personal… would love to know your thoughts on Yin.
